Jane Parker Gagne, 70, of 5 Kimberly Ave., Turners Falls, died Monday at Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. She was a cook at the University of Massachusetts, and retired in 1996. She was previously a cook at the Linden Hill School in Northfield. Born in Mont Vernon, N.H., she attended schools in Northfield and Milford, N.H. She belonged to the Greenfield Moose Club and the Ladies Benevolent Society of Northfield Farms, and was active in area singles clubs. She leaves her husband, Alphonse Gagne at home; a son, Andrew Garello of Sturbridge; a daughter, April Parker Rapelye of Northfield; a niece, Jean ("Susie") Vaine of North Carolina, whom she raised; a brother, Win J. Nichols of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Doris Boggis of Nashua, N.H.; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A calling hour will precede the funeral Thursday morning at Kidder Funeral Home, with the burial in Farms Cemetery, both at Northfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin County Hospice, 164 High St., Greenfield, 01301.

  TURNERS FALLS - Jane Parker Gagne, 70, of 5 Kimberly Ave., a university cook, died yesterday in Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.
 She leaves her husband, Alphonse Gagne; a son, Andrew Garello of Sturbridge; a daughter and a niece whom she raised; a brother and sister; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was born in Mont Vernon, N.H., and attended school in Northfield.
 Mrs. Gagne worked as a cook at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and at Linden Hill School in Northfield, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Greenfield Moose Club and the Ladies Benevolent Society of Northfield Farms. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, playing cards and crafts.
 The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Kidder Funeral Home, 1 Parker Ave., Northfield. Burial will be in Farms Cemetery, Northfield. The calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Franklin County, 164 High St., Greenfield, MA 01301.

Dorris H. (Nichols) Boggis
Member of senior center; avid card player
 Dorris H. (Nichols) Boggis, 91, of 41 Robinson Road, Nashua, died Sunday morning, July 5, 1998, at her home due to multiple myeloma.
 For a time, Mrs. Boggis had worked in the office of Dr. T. Arthur Babineau, a Nashua orthodonist.  She was a homemaker for the greater part of her life.
 Mrs. Boggis was a member of the Navy Mothers, the Nashua Senior Center and the American Association of Retired Persons.  She was also an avid card player.
 Mrs. Boggis was born Dec. 26, 1906, in Webster, daughter of the late William and Florence (Joslin) Nichols.  She was a long time Nashua resident.
 Mrs. Boggis was the widow of Edward J. Boggis, who died in 1965, and was also predeceased by a son, Earl Boggis; a daughter, Dorris "Sister" Boggis; and her sister, Jane Gagne of Turner Falls, Mass., who died in June.
 Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Edward J. Boggis Jr. and Lorraine Skowrowski of Claremont, Robert K. Boggis of Nashua, and Donald E. and Pauline (Bedard) Boggis of Milford; three daughters and a son-in-law, Alice and Robert Gabriel of Nashua, Marion Madigan of Nashua and Helen Daigle of Keene; 14 grandsons and seven granddaughters; 22 great-grandchildren, a brother, Winfred Nichols of Washington, D.C.; a beloved nephew, Harry Nichols of Manchester, Conn.; and many other nephews, nieces and friends.
 The Farwell Funeral Service in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.

Robert J. KNAPP

OBITUARY:
 Son of the late Grover C. Knapp and Laura O'Dell, he was a lifelong resident of Stephentown.
 Mr. Knapp retired in 1992 from Zwack, Inc. in Stephentown, where he was a machinist for 20 years. He had previously worked at Sampson Hydraulics in West Lebanon. At one time he ran his own farm.
 He was a member of the Live Steam Club, a group of steam engine enthusiasts, and enjoyed gardening, baking, model airplane flying and making wind sculptures.
 His wife, the former Elizabeth Mary Aubrey, died in 1991.
 He leaves a son, Robert L. Knapp of Stephentown; two daughters, Deborah Ann Knapp of Stephentown and Brenda Knapp Ross of Cecilton, MD; and six grandchildren.

OBITUARY:
 Daughter of Leo Aubrey and Edith Barker. She was the wife of Robert Joseph Knapp. They were married Dec. 12, 1956 in West Stephentown, N.Y.
 Mrs. Knapp was a graduate of schools in Rouses Point and moved to Pittsfield Mass., as a young woman. she worked as a clerk in the former Royal Dept. Store in Pittsfield. After her marriage she moved to Stephentown with her husband. She raised her family and helped build their home on the Knapp Family farm at Knapp's Crossing in the town of Stephentown and she and her husband operated a dairy and poultry farm in the early days of their marriage: Mrs. Knapp was a homemaker in recent years.
 Her hobbies were crossword puzzles and befriending wild animals. For many years as a young girl she cared for a wild fox. Later on the Knapp Farm she was an annual friend to a pair of Canadian geese that nested on their wetlands. She was a great friend of all wild animals and strays that came to their farm.
 Survivors include her husband, Robert J. Knapp of Stephentown, her mother, Edith Barker Aubrey of Rouses Point; one son, Robert Allen Knapp of Stephentown; two daughters, Deborah Ann Knapp of Stephentown, and Brenda K. Ross of Cecilton, Md; four grandchildren, two brothers, Joseph Aubrey and Sonny (Leo) Aubrey both of Rouses Point; two sisters, Ellen Lovely of Comstock, N.Y. and Barbara Duteau of Quebec, Canada.
 Rev. Ernest D. Smith retired pastor of the New Lebanon Congregational Church, officiated at private family services.
 At Mrs. Knapp's request, following, cremation, her remains will be scattered on the Knapp family farm in Stephentown.

 Aletha M. Johnson, 86, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 29, 1916, in Champlain, N.Y.  A resident for 30 years, she was a hospital registered nurse, an Army veteran and a member of the Retired Nurses Association.
 She is survived by one daughter, Gail Halverson of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Dave Hutchinson
 ELIZABETH -- Pastor Dave Hutchinson, 50, of Elizabeth, died Sept. 7, 1993 at the Louis A. Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center, Clarksburg, after a brief illness.
 He was born in Wirt County, a son of Lena Jane Watkins Hutchinson of Elizabeth and the late Rev. Chester "Joe" Hutchinson.  He was a 1961 graduate of Wirt County High School and a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in the Viet Nam War.  He was a former employee of Ravens Metal Products of Elizabeth, Walker of Parkersburg, served as plant manager of Republic Steel of Rainsville, Ala., and was a supervisor for Teleflex of Van Wert, Ohio.  For the past two years, he has served as pastor of God's House of Worship in Elizabeth.
 Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of seven years, Kelly Ray Hutchinson; one son, Davey Bays of Hurricane; three daughters, Jami Hutchinson of Parkersburg, Jodi Hutchinson and Codi Hutchinson, both of Elizabeth; three brothers, Daniel Hutchinson of Parkersburg, Billy Hutchinson of Richwood, and Ronald Hutchinson of Elizabeth; and three grandchildren.
 He was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Hutchinson, in 1970.
 Services 1 p.m. Saturday, Busch Funeral Home, Elizabeth, the Rev. Robert Clegg officiating.  Burial Watkins Family Cemetery, Elizabeth, with military graveside honors by American Legion Post 55, Elizabeth.
 Visitation after 2 p.m. Friday and until the hour of services Saturday.
