OBITUARY:
 Stephen D. Hodlin, aged 74 years, for the past 23 years proprietor of a laundry at his home, 78 Lake avenue, died Saturday afternoon at the House of Mercy of pneumonia where he was taken Friday. He had been ill since last Tuesday.
 He was born in Chazy, N.Y., and came to this city from Bridgeport, Conn. He was a member of the Methodist church in that place and Osceola lodge of Odd Fellows in this city. He is survived by six sons - Orville D. of Champlain, N.Y.; Stephen D. Jr. of Rutland, Vt.; Willis J., John A., Walter F. and Joseph L. of this city; five daughters, Mrs. Raymond D. Nellis of Albany, Mrs. Walter Ringie, Mrs. Melvin Richards, Mrs. Walter Beckwith and Miss Katherine of this city; 21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother, John of Milford, N.H., three sisters, Mrs. Frederick Perkins of Manchester, N.H.; Mrs. Josephine Larmour of California and Mrs. Angeline Cowan of Albany.
 The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home with Rev. H.G. Vincent officiating. Burial will be in the Pittsfield cemetery where the Odd Fellows will have charge of the committal service.

Woman Dies Following Accident:
 Mrs. Ida Hodlin Miller Succumbs to Skull Fracture - Was Thrown from Buggy:
 Mrs. Ida Hodlin Miller, 55, of 73 Lake avenue, died late yesterday at the House of Mercy hospital of a fracture of the skull. Her injury was sustained Sunday in an accident at Pontoosuc lake when Mrs. Miller was thrown from a buggy which was struck by an automobile driven by Charles Carlson, 23, of Willis street, who is on bail of $1000 until a continued hearing in district court the 19th, on a charge of operating so as to endanger the lives and safety of the public.
 Mrs. Miller was born July 9, 1873, in New Milford, Conn, and had lived in Pittsfield 35 years. For 30 years she conducted the Home laundry in Lake avenue. She was a member of Pilgrim Memorial church. Her first husband, Stephen B. Hodlin, died in 1925.
 Besides her second husband, Douglas Miller, she leaves four daughters, Mrs. Ivy Richards, Mrs. Walter Beckwith of Pittsfield, Mrs. Raymond B. Nellis of Albany, Mrs. Robert Verity of Pachougue, L.I.; three sons, John A. Hodlin of Gloversville, N.Y.; Walter F. and Joseph Hodlin of Pittsfield; three sisters, Mrs. Eva Bevan of New Milford, Ct., Mrs. Elsie Couch and Mrs. John Cudney of Canaan, Ct.
 The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2:30 at 78 Lake avenue and 3 o'clock at Pilgrim Memorial church with Rev. Kenneth B. Beckwith officiating. Burial will be in Pittsfield cemetery.

 BECKET, BERKSHIRE Co., MA - Mr. Walter Major Beckwith, (76y) d: October 05, 1974 - of Washington Mountain Road died after being stricken while raking leaves, at the home of a friend in Lenox Saturday morning.  Born in Stockbridge, the son of Russell and Laura Barker Beckwith, he attended Stockbridge schools, and then lived in Great Barrington, until 1947, when he moved to Becket.  Mr. Beckwith, a self-employed mason, was the builder of the Old Stone house on Washington Mountain road. He retired in 1966.  He leaves his wife, the former Ruth Corey, to whom he was married 39 years this past July 4th.  He also leaves three sons, Preston C. Beckwith of Becket, David M. Beckwith of Poway, Calif., and Fred C. Beckwith with the United States Army in Ft. Ord., Calif; five daughters, Mrs. Laura Tobbiason of Blossvale, N.Y., Mrs. Katherine Cummings of Florida, Mrs. Cassie Cowan and Mrs. Jane R. Kelley of Richmond and Mrs. Vivian McQuillan of Chester; one brother, Robert H. Beckwith of Great Barrington, 33 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  Another son, Walter Everett Beckwith of North Adams, drowned a few years ago.

Wedding and Death In Same Family
 The marriage of Miss Ivy F. Hodlin of 78 Lake avenue and George Marvin Richards of Greenville, Ma., took place at 8 o'clock Saturday evening at the Methodist Episcopal Church parsonage.  Rev. J. A. Hamilton performed the wedding.  The couple were unattended.  The bride was dressed in light blue silk.  The wedding was a small one on  account of the death of the bride's grandfather, John Hodlin, who died Saturday morning at the home of his son, 78 Lave avenue, and whose funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home.  Mr. and Mrs. Richards will be at home at 68 Lake avenue after Tuesday, November 14.  The groom is a carpenter, and is employed at the Stanley plant.

Willis J. Hodlin
 Willis J. Hodlin, 84, of 88 Newell St. died Saturday morning at his home.
 Born in Chalet, Vt., he lived here most of his life and had been employed by the General Electric Co. 45 years, retiring 12 years ago.  He was a member of the First Methodist Church, Mystic Lodge of Masons, Mount Greylock Lodge of Odd Fellow, Collina Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, GE Quarter Century Club and GE Pensioners Club.
 Besides his wife, the former Blanche Kinne, he leaves a sister, Mrs. Walter Ringie of Pittsfield, and several nephews and nieces.
 Services will be tomorrow afternoon at 2 at the Wellington Funeral Home.  The Rev. Jesse S. Greene, pastor of First Methodist Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery.
 Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.   Members of the Mystic Lodge of Masons will meet at the funeral home this evening at 8 to conduct a Masonic service.
 The omission of flowers is requested.

Mrs. Willis Hodlin
 Mrs. Ethelyn C. Hodlin, 70, wife of Willis J. Hodlin of 88 Newell Street, died Saturday night at her home following a long illness.
 A native of Great Barrington, Mrs. Hodlin was born Jan 20, 1881, daughter of George W. and Harriet Simpson Lane and spent most of her life in Pittsfield.  She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Ruth Circle and the Friendly Circle.  She also belonged to the Collina Chapter, Oder of the Eastern Star and the helping Hand Society.  Mrs. Hodlin was active in the Bobby Kidney Sunshine Club and was adept in needle work.
 Survivors are her husband and several cousins.
 Funeral services will be held at the Wellington Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2.  Burial will be in the Pittsfield Cemetery.
 The family will meet friends at the funeral home tonight and tomorrow evening from 7 to 9; also tomorrow afternoon from 2 to 4.

Theodora P. 'Dora' French

  Theodora P. "Dora" French, 85, a longtime Hudson resident and widow of Maurice R. French, died early Friday morning, August 5, 2011 at Greenbriar Terrace in Nashua, after a period of declining health.
 Mrs. French was born in Nashua on October 13, 1925, a daughter of the late Lawrence G. and Lottie M. (Hodlin) Puckett. Dora grew up in the Crown Hill neighborhood of this city and was a graduate of Nashua High School, Class of 1943.
 Dora and Maurice were married May 30, 1947 and made their home at 95 Ferry Street in Hudson for many years. Mrs. French was a secretary at French Insurance Agency in Hudson for several years and was previously employed as a clerical worker at Nashua Corporation and Weight Watchers.
 A member of the Arlington Street United Methodist Church for many years, Dora was actively involved in many church affairs including Church Women United, the Questers Class and the Couples Club. Mrs. French was a member of the Hudson Fortnightly Club and was a former Girl Scout Leader.
 In addition to her husband Maurice who died June 7, 1984, Dora was predeceased by three brothers, Theodore P., Irving L. and Glendon F. Puckett; and a sister, Glenna V. Snow.
 Members of her family include two daughters, Deborah A. Smith and Susan Viens and her husband Ronald all of Hudson; two grandsons, Jeffrey Smith and his wife Melinda (Yebba) Smith of Hudson and Jameson Viens of Boston; a sister, Serdena Cameron of Olive Branch, Mississippi; a sister-in-law, Thelma Puckett of Nashua; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
 SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua. Her funeral service will be held in the Arlington Street United Methodist Church, 63 Arlington Street, Nashua, Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Bruce Bradshaw, Pastor, will officiate.
 Interment will follow at Hills Farms Cemetery in Hudson. Friends are invited to attend.
