OBITUARY:
  Bernice L. Sanchagrin, 84, formerly of Peru and Rouses Point, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at the Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.
 She was born in Rouses Point, Oct. 4, 1920, the daughter of Clement and Laura (Anthony) Aubrey.
 Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru.

Bernice L. Sanchagrin

  Peru — Bernice L. Sanchagrin, 84, formerly of Peru and Rouses Point, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at the Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.
 She was born in Rouses Point, Oct. 4, 1920, the daughter of Clement and Laura (Anthony) Aubrey.
 She worked at St. Augustine’s School.  She was a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church. Mrs. Sanchagrin was member of the Altar Rosary Society and St. Augustine’s Church Choir.  She very much enjoyed singing and spending time with people.
 Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Babbie of Peru and Kathleen Ketcik of Maple Shade, N.J.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Connie Sanchagrin of Modesto, Calif., and Arthur and Nancy Sanchagrin of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Robert Aubrey of Rouses Point; a sister, Carol Manor of Rouses Point; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
 She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Arthur Sanchagrin; a daughter, Delores Smith; and a son, Albert Sanchagrin.
 Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church in Peru with Rev. Stephen H. Gratto, pastor of St. Patrick’s Church in Brasher Falls, celebrating, and Rev. Clyde A. Lewis, pastor of St. Patrick’s Church in Rouses Point and St. Joseph’s Church in Coopersville, concelebrating.  Burial will be in the spring in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Rouses Point.
 Donations in her memory may be made to Catholic Charities, St. Augustine’s Church Building Fund or St. Augustine’s School.

 Patricia C. "Pat" Babbie, age 80, of Bear Swamp Road, Peru, N.Y., passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Jan. 7, 2022.
 Pat was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on June 4, 1941, to Arthur and Bernice (Aubrey) Sanchagrin. Pat grew up in Rouses Point, N.Y., and attended grade school at St. Mary's and high school at Champlain Central.
 For 26 years, Pat worked on R5 at CVPH as a CNA. Her strong work ethic, smiles, and sincere caring for her patients and their families continues to be her legacy.
 Pat loved tending to her flowers and yard and was known by many as the "flower lady." She cherished her family and was always the one to bake desserts for family gatherings. Pat enjoyed a good yard sale and visiting the local thrift shop in search of "treasures."
 Pat was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and family member.
 Left to treasure the memory of Pat are, her four children, Lee Ledesma, David (Karen) Babbie, Sheila Babbie, and Todd Babbie; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy Ketcik; brother, Artie (Nancy) Sanchagrin; and many nieces and nephews.
 She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Mike and Albert; and sisters, Delores and Carol.
There will be no public calling hours or funeral service. A graveside remembrance will be held at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Rouses Point on Saturday, June 4th, followed by a celebration of life at a location yet to be determined. Details for Pat's remembrance will be posted in May.
 In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Patricia Babbie may be made to Hospice of the North Country. A special thanks to her caregivers Katie, Becky, and Ashley.

Dolores Irene (Sanchagrin) (Starace) Smith

  Crockett, Calif. — Dolores Irene (Sanchagrin) (Starace) Smith, 56, died on Nov. 17, 2003, at her residence in Crockett, Calif.
 She was born on June 22, 1947, in Rouses Point, N.Y., and had lived in the Denville, N.J., area for 20 years and in Crockett, Calif., for 11 years.
 She had worked for three years as a loan processor for the PGM Mortgage Company in Richmond, Calif., and prior to that, as an administrative assistant at West County Times in Hilltop, Calif.
 She was a member of the Redeye Investment Club, a notary public for the State of California and a supporter of Paralyzed Veterans Association and the American Cancer Society.
 She is survived by her husband of 13 years, David W. Smith, of Crockett, Calif.; two daughters, Trisha D. Sanders of Elizabethtown, Pa., and Laurie-Ann Malecki, of Decatur, Ga.; her mother, Bernice Sanchagrin of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; two sisters, Patricia Babbie of Peru, N.Y., and Kathleen Ketcik of Maple Shade, N.J.; two brothers, Michael P. Sanchagrin of Modesto, Calif., and Arthur Sanchagrin of Orlando, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Julia C. Sanders and Devin Malecki.
 Calling hours will be held at the Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, N.J., (973- 627-1880) on Tuesday, Nov. 25th, from 7 to 9 p.m.  A funeral will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 26th, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home for a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10:45 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Denville.

OBITUARY:
 Carol Ann Manor, 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Sept. 30, 2021, with her family by her side.
 She was born to the late Clement and Laura Aubrey on Dec. 30, 1938, in Tarrytown, N.Y., however Rouses Point was the only place she would ever call home. Carol began her career working in the office for Ayerst Laboratories. She took a break from work to care for her family, before she returned to the newly named Wyeth Laboratories on the packaging line until her retirement.
 Carol had many interests that kept her young. She loved a good yard sale, and for decades set up her own, which she took great pride in. She also served on the Legion Auxiliary at Post 912 and the Fellowship group.
She is survived by her daughter Tamara Manor, her son Kevin Manor (Maggie), her sister Patty Babbie, her grandsons Casey and Michael, and many nieces and nephews.
 Carol is preceded in death by the love of her life, Cyril Manor, along with her brothers, Sonny, Jerry, Robert Aubrey, and sister Bernice. Also Hazel, her favorite cat.
 A graveside service will be held at St. Patrick's Cemetery on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021, at 11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at the American Legion Post 912 in Rouses Point. The family asks donations in Carol's memory go to Adirondack Humane Society, or the Vermont Kidney Association.
