Garnet Delores DEEMS

OBITUARY:
 Garnet Delores Deems Wilson, 94, of Kites Run, went home with the Lord on Oct. 24, 2010.
 Garnet was born on March 13, 1916, in Eatons-Goose Creek, W.Va., a daughter of the late Benjamin and Ethel Deems.
 Garnet was a graduate of the Chicago School of Nursing and worked several years at St. Joseph's Hospital and with Dr. E.C. Hartness. She was a member of Park Avenue Seventh Day Adventist Church. Garnet enjoyed gardening, canning and caring for and loving her family. Garnet resided at Sunbridge Care and Rehab in Parkersburg, where all of her caregivers loved and treated her like one of their family and she loved them also.
 For the special care she received, Garnet's family is sincerely thankful.
 She is survived by three sisters, Myrtie (Wendy) Wenmoth, Lizzie (Larry) Corvin and Teeny Stout; daughter-in-law, Alberdia Wilson; stepchildren, Bill (Mary) Wilson, Paulette (Paul) Woodyard and Barbara (Wayne) McKibben; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
 Garnet was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Wilson; second husband, George Wilson; three sons, Eugene, Robert and Larry; eight sisters; and two brothers.
 Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Abbey Reyes officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.

George Harold WILSON

OBITUARY:
 George H. Wilson

  George H. Wilson, 95, formerly of Walker, passed away Sept. 20, 2006, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation of Parkersburg.
 He was born June 7, 1911, in Walker, a son of the late Charles G. and Virginia Smith Wilson, and resided in Walker for many years. He retired from O'Ames after 33 years with the company. George enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling and was a member of the Lauckport Baptist Church.
 George is survived by his wife, Garnet D. Deem Wilson; son, William L. Wilson and wife, Mary, of Washington; daughters, Barbara S. McKibben and husband, Wayne, of Parkersburg and Paulette Woodyard and Paul of Walker; two stepdaughters; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
 In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice C. Wright Wilson; second wife, Helen Smith Wilson; three stepsons; one brother; and three sisters.
 A graveside service will be held for Mr. Wilson at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
