Mrs. Madge E. Ringey, 79, formerly of 28 Meadow Lane, died Saturday at the Edgecombe Nursing Home in Lenox, after a long illness.
Born in Derby, Conn., she had lived in Pittsfield for 60 years. Her husband, Walter I. Ringey, died in 1958.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Douglas Ringey of Flat Rock, N.C.
Services will be held tomorrow morning at 11 at the Wellington Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Main Street Cemetery in Dalton.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Walter I. Ringeys Observe 50th Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Walter I. Ringey of 28 Meadow Lane recently observed their 50th wedding anniversary. They have been entertained at several dinner parties.
The couple were married Jan. 2, 1907, in Mooers, N.Y. They came to Pittsfield in October, 1910. Mr. Ringey retired in 1945 from the GE. He and his wife are members of First Methodist Church.
They have a son, Douglas Ringey, of Pittsfield. Another son, Ralph Ringey, was killed in France during World War II while serving with the Air Force.

Donald L. Hodlin, 88, former GE inspector

PITTSFIELD -- Donald L. Hodlin, 88, of 169 Valentine Road died yesterday at Willowood of Pittsfield.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 28, 1911, son of the Rev. Stephen D. Hodlin and Bessie Whittaker Hodlin, he attended schools in New York state and Vermont and had resided in Pittsfield most of his life.
He was employed as an inspector at General Electric for 14 years in the screw machine department. He was later employed at the First United Methodist Church doing office work. He retired in 1974.
Mr. Hodlin was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He leaves no immediate survivors.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Monday morning at 10 with the Rev. Robert H. Skidmore officiating. Those wishing to attend may gather inside the gates of the Pittsfield Cemetery at 9:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, in care of the ELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, in charge of arrangements.BURIAL:

Aged Mooers Resident, Overcome By Coal Gas, Succumbs In Hospital
Amos Nichols, 78, of Mooers, who, with his wife, was poisoned by monoxide gas from a coal stove in the sitting room of his home, April 12th, died at the Physicians Hospital, Plattsburg, on Thursday.
Mrs. Nichols, who remained unconscious for two days after being gassed, fully recovered and is now at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Walker, in Dannemora.
Funeral services for the victim were held from the Mooers Methodist Episcopal Church Sunday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. C. R. Sumner, pastor, officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery.
The pallbearers were Robert Thorn, Charles Chandler, Herman Stevenson, James Ferns, Arthur Priest and Amos Tappin.

Funeral services for Mrs. Annetta Nichols, 100, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. D. Hayden, in Dannemora, were held Friday at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home.

Ora N. Hayden
Wilmington, Del. - Ora N. Hayden, 91, of Rosewood Rest Home, Claymont, Del., and formerly of Dannemora, died on Thrusday, May 15, 1986 at Riverside Hospital in Wilmington.
She was born in Mooers on July 10, 1894, the daughter of Amos and Anetta (Wells) Nichols. Her first husband, Ralph E. Walker, died in 1950, and her second husband, Harry Hayden, died in 1965.
Mrs. Hayden was a member of the Dannemora Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Ralph Henry Walker of Poughkeepsie; a daughter, Mrs. George (Ora) Cassedy of Wilmington, Del.; seven granchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Calling hours at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Mooers.
Memorial donations may be made to the Dannemora Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
