OBITUARY:
Charles H. Carson, Jr. 79 of Leesburg, FL passed away on Friday, January 7, 2011. He was born on December 1, 1931 in Bradford, Pa. Mr. Carson was a mechanic for Union Carbide and retired to Florida in 1995. He was a member of the American Legion and the Epiphany Celebration Anglican Church of Eustis. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Carson is survived by his wife Janice D. of Leesburg; sons Charles Carson III of Sorrento; Leo K. Carson of Lewiston, NY; daughters Debbie Wieland of Sorrento; Diane Swan of Gasport, NY; brother Jack Carson of Ransomville, NY; sisters Joyce Michel of Middleport, NY; June Young of Orlando; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, January 10, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Umatilla, FL. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Umatilla at 10:30 am with The Reverend Dr. W. H. Volland officiating. Entombment will be at Lakeside Memory Gardens in Eustis. In lieu of flowers contributions may be directed to The Building Fund at the Epiphany Celebration Anglican Church, 1724 South Bay Street, Eustis, FL 32726. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Epiphany Celebration Anglican Church, Eustis. Survivors include sons: Charles H. Carson, III, GA, Leo K. Carson, Lewiston, NY; daughters: Debbie Wieland, Sorrento, FL, Diane Swan, Gasport, NY; 11 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
  Visitation - The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Umatilla.
 Services - Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend Dr. W. H. Volland officiating.

Marriage Notes for William Harry Fluharty and Cora Belle CALTRIDER-4154

MARRIAGE:
Fluharty-Caltrider
 Mr. Harry Fluharty of Oil Rock and Miss Cora Caltrider of Standing Stone were married at the local M.E. parsonage on last Saturday.  Rev D.F. Carder tied the knot.
 The couple are both popular young folks of their community and are known to many folks in other sections of the county.  Miss Caltrider was formerly one of our county's teachers and has a wide acquantance among the teachers of the county.  Mr. Fluharty is a progressive young farmer who has received many words of commendation from his neighbors.
 The Journal is glad to join their many friends in the usual congratulations and good wishes.
