OBITUARY:
Mrs. Lora Alice Ash
 Mrs. Lora Alice Ash, 74, of 4302 16th Av., died Tuesday in the Camden-Clark Memorial hospital following a lingering illness. She was the widow of Thomas S. Ash who preceded her in death four years ago.
 Mrs. Ash is survived by one son, Roy Ash of Elizabeth, Rt. 2; one daughter, Mrs. Minnie Cain of Newark, W. Va., and 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rayon Drive United Brethren church and interment will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery. The body will be at the Pomroy funeral home in Elizabeth until the time of the services.

OBITUARY:
 Billy Ray Bell, 86, of Elizabeth WV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 28, 2019. He was born April 11, 1932, to the late Chester and Clover Bell of Elizabeth.
 He graduated from Wirt County High School in 1950 and served in the United States Army in Korea from 1952-1954. He was an avid hunter, was a member of the West Virginia Trappers Association and was inducted into the West Virginia Trappers Association Hall of Fame in 2003.
 He was a member of the Big Island Run Church where he taught Sunday School for many years. He loved reading westerns and spending time at home along the Hughes River.
 Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years Martha (Joy) Bell, daughter Tammy of Vienna, son Tim (Melissa) of Macfarlan, grandsons Joshua (Sarah) of Elizabeth and Jacob of Macfarlan, sisters Dorothy Ash of Parkersburg and Sharon Hutchinson of Newark and several nieces and nephews.
 In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother Carl Bell and sisters Betty Layfield and Alma Morris.
 He will be missed dearly by his family, church family and numerous friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 30 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and 1 hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan 31, at 11:00 am at Matheny Whited Funeral Home, Elizabeth, with the Rev. John Larrison and Rev. Dean Ash officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Twist Cemetery with military honors.

Edna Louise FLUHARTY

OBITUARY:
 Edna Louise Pifer, 75, of Parkersburg, passed away July 27, 2015, at her daughter's residence surrounded by her family.
 She was born Dec. 27, 1939 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Floyd and Luda (Wilson) Fluharty.
 Edna was a homemaker and a member of The Rock Family Worship Center.
 Surviving are her four children, Robbin Lowe of Mineral Wells, Tonia Driessen of Brooklet, Ga., April Pribble (James) of Evington, Va. and Angie Robinson (Chuck) of Parkersburg; a brother, Jim Fluharty (Connie) of Madison Heights, Va.; two sisters, Donna Lively (Frank) of Appomattox, Va. and Patty Waters of Nelsonville, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Steven and Robbie Wilson; and a sister, Virginia Anderson.
 Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Friday, at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastors Dean Ash, Dennis Morgan and David Chisholm officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Friday.
