Dr. Poe Junior BAILEY

OBITUARY:
 Dr. Poe J. Bailey, of Parkersburg, passed away April 26, 2017 at his residence.
 He was born July 30, 1924 in Cedarville, WV, the son of the late Lonnie P. and Manella Clauser Bailey.
 Dr. Bailey attended Marietta College and graduated from Northern Illinois College of Optometry. He practiced Optometry for 40 years in Parkersburg.
 Poe was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in England, France and Belgium during WWII. He was a charter member of New Hope Baptist Church, and was a 50 member of South Parkersburg Lions Club. The Leonard Jarrett Award was presented to him for his service for sight and hearing. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #169 and had been in Scottish Rite and Nemesis Shrine for over 50 years.
 He is survived by his wife of 69 years, M. Imogene (Adams) Bailey, his children Douglas A. Bailey, of Parkersburg and Paul E. (Carol) Bailey, of Waukesha,WI, two grandchildren Meagan and Josiah Bailey, and his sister, Helen O. Barnett.
 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack.
 Services will be 11 am Friday April 28, 2017, at the Leavitt Funeral Home Parkersburg, with Rev Tom Stevens officiating.
 Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery North, with military rites provided by American Legion Post 15.
 Visitation will be Thursday from 3-7 pm.
