OBITUARY:
 Elliott Deem
 Elliott A. "Ed" Deem, 74, of Williamstown died May 20, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
 He was born in Batons, a son of the late Elliott Clifford and Nora Joy Deem. He had worked for McClinton Chevrolet as a salesman and was a self-employed carpenter. He had atended [sic] Mountain State Business College and was a World War II veteran.
 Survivors include his wife, Jan Ahart Deem; one son, Charles A. Deem and his wife Meg of Green Bay, Wis.; two sisters, Zora Boston of Washington, W.Va., and Mabel Rollyson of Dallison; one brother, Ray Deem of Dutch Ridge; and his special dog, Chewy.
 He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dora Jean Deem; and four brothers, Floyd, Clifford, Harold and Roy.
 Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna, the Rev. Perry Stewart officiating.  Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  Visitation is from (photocopy cutoff)

OBITUARY:
 Benjamin Franklin Deems, 90, of Vienna, died at his residence Friday afternoon after a long illness.
 He was born in Wood County, Oct. 8, 1882, son of the late Isaiah and Harriet Nutter Deems. He was a member of the Baptist Church and had been employed at the Universal Glass Co. when he retired in 1951.
 He is survived by his widow, Ethel Joy Deems; 11 daughters, Mrs. Garnet Wilson of Walker, Mrs. Edna Cain and Mrs. Evelyn Stout of Parkersburg, Mrs. Stella Deem, Mrs. Mary Whitecotton, Mrs. Myrtle Wenmouth and Mrs. Rosalie Williams of Vienna, Mrs. Dorothy Santee of Valley Mills, Mrs. Bessie Neff of Columbia, S.C., Mrs. Beulah Richards of Vincent, O., and Mrs. Elizabeth Corvin of Sandusky, O.; one son, William Deems of Parkersburg; 34 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren.
 He was preceded in death by one son, two daughters, two sisters and four brothers.
 Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Shaver and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Garvin Walls officiating. Burial was in the Deems family cemetery at Eaton.

OBITUARY:
Goldie Null
 Goldie Joy Null, 96, of Kanawha, died Dec. 26 at her residence.
 She was born in Wirt County, a daughter of the late George Leroy and Olia Shahan Joy.  She was a homemaker and a Kanawha resident for several years.  She was a Methodist.
 She is survived by two sons, B. Perry Null of Little Hocking and Holly D. Null of Davisville; one daughter, Eva Mae Paterson of Parkersburg; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, I. W. "Wade" Null; seven sons, Orvel Lee Null, Beryl Null, Carl "Lesbly" Null, Noble Ray Null, Russel Jurl Null, Hobert Okey Null and one infant son; six brothers; four sisters; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
 Services were Dec. 28 at Matheny Pomroy Funeral Home, Elizabeth, with the Rev. Lewis Villers officiating.  Burial was in Pine Twist Cemetery, Wirt County.

Harold H. TYLER

OBITUARY: Tyler, Harold H., 87, died April 15, at the Mary Elizabeth Nursing Center in Mystic, Connecticut. He was born July 15, 1915, in Stowe, the son of Willard and Ruth (Glover) Tyler.  He attended schools in Stowe, Moretown and East St. Johnsbury.  Mr. Tyler worked as a carpenter and building contractor.  He built more than 60 homes and restored many historic buildings in the Mystic area.  He was a long time member and trustee of the United Methodist church of Mystic, a corporate member of Stonington Lodge #26 IOOF, the Order of the Rebekahs and the Mystic Lions Club.  Survivors include two brothers, Paul and Donald Tyler of Barre and several nieces and nephews.  A brother, Willard Tyler. and two sisters, Lois Joy and Helen Hodlin, are deceased.

Donald Tyler - October 8, 2005
  BARRE - Donald Tyler, 78, of Barre died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin.
 Born Oct. 29, 1926, in Boston, Mass., he was the son of Willard and Ruth (Glover) Tyler.
 He graduated from Waterbury High School in 1944.
 During World War II, he served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946.
 He married Theresa "Terry" LaFaille in St. Sylvester Church in Graniteville on Nov. 4, 1950. They lived their entire married life in Barre.
 He worked for Lacillade Lumber Co. in Williamstown for 35 years as a salesman dealing with building contractors.
 He enjoyed going to yard sales, refinishing furniture and collecting Fenton glassware.
 He was a life member of the American Legion Post 10 of Barre.
 He is survived by his wife of Barre; two daughters, Donna Tyler Maleska of Sheldon and Debra Robinson of Rutland; two sons, Timothy Tyler of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Douglas Tyler of Barre; four grandchildren; and brother, Paul Tyler of Barre.
 He was predeceased by two brothers, Willard Tyler and Harold Tyler; and two sisters, Helen Hodlin and Lois Joy.
 Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home in Barre.
 Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery in Barre.
 Calling hours are Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
 Contributions in his memory may be made to the Vermont Affiliate, American Heart Association, 12 Hurricane Lane, Williston, VT 05495 or to the American Cancer Society, 11 Loomis St., Montpelier, VT 05602.
