Hazel E. WATKINS

OBITUARY:
 Hazel Watkins Wood died August 14, 1985 in Parkersburg, WV.
 She was born at Reedy in Roane County April 10, 1902, to Joseph Edward and Alma Williams Watkins. She had been associated with the electrical construction business with hr late husband in the operation of Wood Electric Service. She continued to operate the business for 20 years following his death, during which time she also was a member of the Joint Selection Committee of the Contractors Association and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 968.
 She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, was a charter member of Parkersburg Aerie No 2307 Fraternal Order Eagles Auxilary, a 40-year member of Hathor Court, Ladies of the Oriental Shrine, where she was captain emeritus of the Courts Caravan. She was a member of Parkersburg Chapter No. 14, Order of the Eastern Star and a past president of the Woman's Relief Corps of Union Veterans.
 At the time of her death, she was survived by her daughter and her son, Ira P. Wood, Jr., two grandsons and two great-grandsons.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira P. Wood in 1946.
 Vaughan Funeral Home aided the family and Rev. Charles Roth officiated.
 Burial is at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg, WV.

OBITUARY:
 Arthur C. Joy Sr., 81, of Parkersburg, passed away Friday, May 14, 2010, at Ohio Valley Health Care Center.
 He was born March 1, 1929, in Wirt County, W.Va., the son of the late Floyd E. and Cynthia Bishop Joy.
 He was a graduate of Wirt County High School, U.S. Army Korean War veteran, Baptist by faith and retired boilermaker of Local Union 667.
 He is survived by two sons, Camden F. Joy of Lubeck and Arthur C. Joy Jr. of Rockport; one granddaughter, Nicole Joy of West Union, W.Va.; several stepgrandchildren; three sisters, Myrtle Younglove of Tampa, Fla., Rosella Nutter of Culloden, W.Va., and Ina Harmsworth of Fair Field, Calif.; one brother, Cecil Joy of New England, W.Va.; one stepdaughter, two stepsons; several nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Ruth Ann Walker.
 He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Imogene Longwell Joy; four brothers; and two sisters.
 Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg. Burial will follow at Lubeck Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 today at the funeral home.
