Edson R. CROSHIER

OBITUARY:
 PITTSFIELD, BERKSHIRE Co., MA - Mr. Edson Ralph Croshier, ( 80y ) d: March 24, 2010 - of 379 East St., Providence Court Apartments in Pittsfield, died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born on June 13, 1929, in Pittsfield, son of the late Darryl and Frances Gedney Croshier, he was a lifelong resident of Pittsfield and was educated in Pittsfield schools. He served with the Navy aboard the USS Paiute. He married his wife, the former Phyllis Hodlin, on Feb. 3, 1951, at St. Mark Church in Pittsfield. She died on May 11, 1995. Mr. Croshier was employed as an assembler at the former E.D. Jones and Beloit Corporation in Dalton for over forty years. He retired in 1988. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. A longtime baseball fan, he enjoyed attending all of the Pittsfield Mets games at Wahconah Park. He also followed the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. While at Providence Court he enjoyed playing cards with all of his friends and neighbors. He leaves three sons, Joseph F. Croshier and his wife, Mary Rose, of Pittsfield, George W. Croshier and his wife, Linda, of Pittsfield, and Kenneth R. Croshier and his wife, Kelly, of the State of Florida; three daughters, Lisa M. Croshier and her husband, Shawn Maloney, of Pittsfield, Teresa M. Croshier and her husband, John Strzempko, of Ashburnham, Mass., and Sharon M. Croshier of Pittsfield. He also leaves a brother, Darryl Croshier of Gt. Barrington; three sisters, Azoa Haywood of Pittsfield, Geraldine Hubbard of Lanesboro, and Faye Shirley of the State of Florida; 15 grandchildren and three great- granddaughters. Burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery, Pittsfield, MA. END:

Mrs. Croshier was first employed by the former Elmvale Worsted Co. for several years and later as a waitress by Dunkin' Donuts on First Street for 12 years. She last worked for the School Department as a cook in the cafeteria at Reid Middle School for 10 years until she retired in June 1991. She was a communcant of St. Chsrles' Church and enjoyed walking. A baseball fan, her favorite teams were the Boston Red Sox and the Pittsfield Mets. She leaves her husband, Edson R. Croshier, whom she married Feb. 3, 1951; three sons, Joseph F. Croshier, George W. Croshier and Kenneth R. Croshier, all of Pittsfield; three daughters, Miss Lisa M. Croshier and Miss Sharon M. Croshier, both of Pittsfield, and Miss Teresa M. Croshier of Gardner; a brother, Joseph Hodlin of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Hornyak of Pittsfield, and 11 grandchildren. George W. CROSHIER

OBITUARY:
PITTSFIELD, BERKSHIRE Co., MA - Mr. George W. Croshier, ( 63y ) d: December 24, 2016 - of 86 Caroline Street passed away on Saturday at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield. Born on October 01, 1953 in Pittsfield, he was a son of the late Edson and Phyllis Hodlin Croshier. A lifelong Pittsfield resident, he was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1971 graduate of Taconic High School. He was employed as a corrections officer with the Berkshire County Sheriff's Office for over twenty years retiring in 2014. Prior to that he had worked at Berkshire Medical Center for over twenty years and he had also owned and operated Joseph's Shoe Store on North Street for ten years. He enjoyed fishing, walking, hockey and following the Boston Bruins. An avid master of karate, he held a 3rd degree black belt. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and grandchildren. He leaves his wife, Linda Bennett Croshier whom he married on October 21, 1978 in Pittsfield. A son; Jacob B. Croshier. A daughter; Caitlyn R. Jamula and her husband Stephen all of Pittsfield. Two brothers; Joseph Croshier and his former spouse Mary Rose Croshier of Pittsfield and Kenneth Croshier and his wife Kelly of the State of Florida. Three sisters; Lisa Croshier and her husband Shawn Maloney of Pittsfield, Teresa Strzempko and her husband Jack of Ashburnham, MA and Sharon Andrews and her husband Keith of Pittsfield. Three grandchildren; Kaylee M. Croshier, Blake A. Jamula and Brooklyn J. Jamula. He also leaves his good friends; David Laviolette, Bill O'Bryan and Scott Emerson as well as many other lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his best friend; Patrick H. Gavin.

OBITUARY:
 George L. Aubrey, 84, of 70 Elm Street, died at the Physicians Hospital Saturday.
 Mr. Aubrey, a native of Malone, was born a son of Thomas and Marie (Martin) Aubrey. A machinist by trade, he was long employed at the Plant of the Lozier Motor Co. here and later by Westinghouse in Springfield, Ma. His wife died in 1934. He had since made his home with his daughter, Mrs. John F. Healey of Plattsburgh.
 Besides his daughter, Mr. Aubrey is survived by one brother, Louis Aubrey of Long Meadows, MA; two sisters, Mrs. George David of Springfield, MA and Mrs. Rose Willette of Rochester.
 Funeral services will be held at St. Peter’s Church. Interment will be in the family plot in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
