Woman Dies Following Accident:
 Mrs. Ida Hodlin Miller Succumbs to Skull Fracture - Was Thrown from Buggy:
 Mrs. Ida Hodlin Miller, 55, of 73 Lake avenue, died late yesterday at the House of Mercy hospital of a fracture of the skull. Her injury was sustained Sunday in an accident at Pontoosuc lake when Mrs. Miller was thrown from a buggy which was struck by an automobile driven by Charles Carlson, 23, of Willis street, who is on bail of $1000 until a continued hearing in district court the 19th, on a charge of operating so as to endanger the lives and safety of the public.
 Mrs. Miller was born July 9, 1873, in New Milford, Conn, and had lived in Pittsfield 35 years. For 30 years she conducted the Home laundry in Lake avenue. She was a member of Pilgrim Memorial church. Her first husband, Stephen B. Hodlin, died in 1925.
 Besides her second husband, Douglas Miller, she leaves four daughters, Mrs. Ivy Richards, Mrs. Walter Beckwith of Pittsfield, Mrs. Raymond B. Nellis of Albany, Mrs. Robert Verity of Pachougue, L.I.; three sons, John A. Hodlin of Gloversville, N.Y.; Walter F. and Joseph Hodlin of Pittsfield; three sisters, Mrs. Eva Bevan of New Milford, Ct., Mrs. Elsie Couch and Mrs. John Cudney of Canaan, Ct.
 The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2:30 at 78 Lake avenue and 3 o'clock at Pilgrim Memorial church with Rev. Kenneth B. Beckwith officiating. Burial will be in Pittsfield cemetery.

Joseph F. Hodlin 1930-2010
PITTSFIELD
Joseph F. Hodlin, 80, formerly of BerkshireTown Apartments, Pittsfield, died Friday, December 17, at Hillcrest Commons, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Born in Pittsfield on March 25, 1930, the son of Walter and Emily Hinckley Hodlin, he was educated in Pittsfield schools. A Korean War veteran, he enlisted with the United States Army on January 19, 1949, served a tour of duty in Germany, and was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal on September 3, 1952. During the 1950s and 1960s, Mr. Hodlin was employed by the City of Pittsfield. From 1965 to 1983, he worked for Mead Paper Company in Lee. Then, in 1983, he moved to Florida where he worked as a caretaker and handyman in a 1300-unit retirement mobile home park in Orlando for twenty-four years until his own retirement in 2005. Mr. Hodlin was a hard worker with a strong work ethic. In his later years, he referred to himself as happy-go-lucky. He enjoyed traveling, especially visiting the South. He enjoyed sports and was a big Boston Red Sox and Miami Dolphins fan. He also enjoyed dancing and was often called "Crazy Legs". His wife, "his gem", as he would say, the former Pearl Milotte, whom he married June 6, 1953, in St. Mark Church, died May 7, 2010. Mr. Hodlin is survived by two sons, Gary M. Hodlin and his wife, Linda, of Littleton, Mass., and Steven F. Hodlin, and his wife, Michelle, of North Andover; two daughters, Lorraine M. Roccabruna and her husband, John, of Pittsfield, and Karen E. Furrow and her husband, Daniel, of Pittsfield; as well as nine grandchildren, Kellie, Daniella, Matthew, Derek, Kristina, Gregory, Erica, Kim, and Brian; and six great grandchildren, Tierney, Cohen, Shane, Evan, McKenna, and Kaydence. He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Paula Nadine Hodlin, and by three sisters, Florence Hinckley, Phyllis Croshier, and Gertrude Hornyak. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Joseph F. Hodlin will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the or to HospiceCare in The Berkshires in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield. The Hodlin Family would like to thank the staff at Hillcrest Commons and the staff of HospiceCare in The Berkshires for all of the loving care given to Joe.

PITTSFIELD
  Pearl D. Hodlin, 76, of 176 Columbus Ave. in Pittsfield, died Friday at Craneville Place of Dalton where she had resided since April.
 Born on March 8, 1934, in Pittsfield, she was the daughter of the late Origene and Ella Daigneault Milotte. A longtime resident of Pittsfield, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and had been employed as an accounting clerk for many years at Sears & Roebuck Company. She retired in 1997.
 She enjoyed movies and being with her husband, family and friends. She leaves her husband, Joseph F. Hodlin of Pittsfield, whom she married on June 6, 1953, at St. Mark's Church in Pittsfield; two sons, Gary M. Hodlin and his wife, Linda, of Littleton, and Steven F. Hodlin and his wife, Michelle, of North Andover. She also leaves her two daughters, Lorraine M. Roccabruna and her husband, John, of Pittsfield and Karen E. Furrow and her husband, Daniel, of Pittsfield; nine grandchildren, Kellie, Daniella, Matthew, Derek, Kristina, Gregory, Erica, Kim and Brian, and her four great-grandchildren, Tierney, Cohen, Shane and Evan.
She was predeceased by a brother, Eugene, and a sister, Yvonne.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
  Pearl D. Hodlin, 76, of Pittsfield died May 7, 2010. At her request there will be no calling hours or services. Following cremation, burial will be private.
 In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire County in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is in charge of arrangements.
