OBITUARY:
Dora Hamrick
Dora Blanche Deem Hamrick, 90, of Davisville, passed away Feb. 10, 2004, at Camden-Clark Hospital in Parkersburg.
She was born April 16, 1913, in Wirt County, a daughter of the late Casto and Della Joy Deem. Dora was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to fish and hunt and was a member of Kanawha Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Geraldin Parsons of Davisville; two sons and their wives, Glenn and Wanda Hamrick of Coolville and George Allen and Madylene Hamrick of Parkersburg; one stepsone, Howard and Rachel Hamrick of Porterfield, OH; one brother, John Boyd and Evelyn Allen Deem of Parkersburg; one sister, Virginia Meeter of Coolville; grandchildren, Jerry and Dianne Bennett of McConnelsville, Roger Bennett of South Carolina, Rocky Parsons of Davisville, Cody and Roxie Parsons of Petroleum, Chester and Lorraine Hamrick of Line Hocking, Glenda Greenleaf of Coolville, Allen and Mary Hamrick of Parkersburg and Teresa and David Roberts of Parkersburg; step grandchildren Howard, Jr., Dwayne, Randy, Chris and Sandy; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, George W. Hamrick; four brothers and one sister.
Services were held Friday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Daugherty officiating. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Walter F. Hodlin
Walter F. Hodlin, 60, of 71 Toronita Ave. died yesterday at his home.
Born in Pittsfield, the son of Stephen and Ida Lewis Hodlin, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Hodlin had been employed by the Gray Van Express Co., Inc., for 28 years before entering the employ of the Eaton Paper Co. three years ago. He was a member of Pilgrim Memorial Church.
He and his wife, the former Emily Hinckley, observed their 43rd wedding anniversary in July.
He leaves a son, Joseph Hodlin of Pittsfield; two daughters, Mrs. Edson Croshier and Mrs. Frank Hornyak, both of this city; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Verity of Patchogue, N.Y., Mrs. Beatrice Burton of Pittsfield and Mrs. Gertrude Nellis of Rochester, N.Y.; a half-sister, Mrs. Gerald Gaylord of Berkshire; and 12 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Dery Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9 and
tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Services for Walter F. Hodlin were held this morning at the Dery Funeral Home. The Rev. Arthur L. Teikmanis, pastor of the First Congregational Church, officiated. Burial was in Pittsfield Cemetery.

Miss Florence M. Hodlin
Miss Florence Mae Hodlin, 20, of 36 Backman Avenue, died Saturday night at her home after a long illness.
A native of Pittsfield, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter F. Hodlin and spent her life here. She was employed by the Elmvale Worsted Company and was a communicant of St. Mark's Church. Survivors are her parents, two sisters, the Misses Phyllis and Gertrude Hodlin; and one brother, Joseph, all of Pittsfield.
The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 8.30 at the family residence followed at 9 at St. Mark's Church with a high mass of requiem. Burial will be in the Pittsfield Cemetery.
The Devanny Funeral Home is in charge.

A solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated for Miss Florence M. Hodlin whose funeral was at 9 this morning at St. Marks Church. Rev. Henry F. Finnegan was celebrant, assisted by Rev. James Preston as deacon and Rev. Francis Lynch, M.N., subdeacon. Bearers were Walter J., Lawrence J., Hugh J., Carl W., Frederick and George Wick. Burial was in the Pittsfield Cemetery.
