 George F. Joy, 83, of Newton, W.Va., died Nov. 2, 1999, in Spencer.
 Survivors include three sons, Jack E. Joy of Washington, Ralph D. Joy of Ambridge, Pa., and James A. Joy of Wyandot, Mich.; three brothers, Arthur Joy of Parkersburg, Cecil Joy of Lubeck and Thomas Joy of Brooksville, Fla.,; and three sisters, Ella Rosella of Culloden, Myrtle Younglove of Tampa, Fla., and Ina Harmsworth of Fairfield, Calif.
 There will be no visitation or services.  Arrangements by John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer.

George F. Joy
 George F. Joy, 83, of Newton, W.Va., died Nov. 2 in Roane General
Hospital, Spencer, after a short illness.
 He was born July 3, 1916, in Elizabeth, a son of the late Floyd E. and Cynthia Bishop Joy. He was a retired laborer. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
 He is survived by three sons, Jack E. Joy of Washington, Ralph D. Joy of Ambridge, Pa., and James A. Joy of Wyandot, Mich.; three brothers, Arthur Joy of Parkersburg, Cecil Joy of Lubeck and Thomas Joy of Brooksville, Fla.; and three sisters, Ella Roselia of Culloden, Myrtle Younglove of Tampa, Fla., and Ina Harmsworth of Fairfield, Calif.
 He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Joy, in 1989; and one son, Kenneth E. Joy.
 There was no visitation or service.
 John H. Taylor Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.

 He was born in Elizabeth, W.Va., and moved to this area 25 years ago from Tampa.  He was a retired boilermaker, a World War II U.S. Air Force veteran, a member of Boilermakers Union No. 433, and attended Community Baptist Church.
 Survivors include two sons, Thomas Jr. of Chicago, Ill., and Norman of Virginia; a stepson, Eddy Rodriguez of Tampa; three daughters, Martha Bell of Elizabeth, Jean Wilson of Brooksville and Mary Tabler of South Carolina; two brothers, Arthur Joy of Cedar Grove, W.Va., and Cecil Joy of Washington, W.Va.; three sisters, Myrtle Younglove of Tampa, Rosella Nutter of Culloden, W.Va., and Ina of California; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Mark Douglas Joy
  Mark Douglas Joy, 3-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas N. Joy, Rt. 2, City, died at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, after a long illness.  The child was born June 17, 1957.  The mother was the former Kathryn Whytsell.
 Survivors, in addition to the parents are: three sisters, Martha, Jean and Mary Joy, all at home; three brothers, Thomas, Roger and Norman Joy, all at home; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Joy, Rt. 2, City, and Mrs. Laua Whytsell of Rocksdale.
 Private funeral services will be conducted fromthe chapel of the Pomroy Funeral Home, City, at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Paul Higgins of Rockport officiating.  Interment will follow in the Pine Twist Cemetery.

Obituary for Avery NUTTER

Avery E. Nutter Rites Yesterday
 Avery Edward Nutter, age 59, of 2205 Oak St, Culloden, W. Va., died Monday, Feb. 9, at Charleston General Hospital.  He had been critically injured in a truck accident in Jackson County several years ago, from which he had only partially recovered.
 Mr. Nutter was born in the Grieves Run section of Wirt County, Route 3, Elizabeth, a son of the late Ralph and Dolly Jones Nutter.
 A very pleasant and good man, he was a retired employee of Union Carbide at Institute, and a member of the Culloden Church of Christ.
 Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rosella Joy Nutter; four daughters, Mrs. Rosalie Thomas, Mrs. Veda Freeman, Mrs. Sharon Cart and Mrs. Sue Bennett, all of Hurricane; a brother, Denver Nutter of Culloden; and nine grandchildren.
 Services were conducted at 2 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday) at the Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Minister Rush Egnor officiating, and burial was in the Forest Memorial Park near Milton.

Rosella Nutter, 93 of Culloden, W.Va., passed away Sunday April 5, 2015, at Cabell Health Care Center with her loving family by her side. She was a retired seamstress from Stone and Thomas and Anderson-Newcomb Department Stores and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hurricane. She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Cynthia Bishop Joy, husband Avery Nutter and granddaughter Teresa Thomasson, five brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her daughters Rosalie and Hershel Thomas, Veda and Dorel Freeman and Sue and Harold Bennett, all of Hurricane, and Sharon and Bob Cart of St. Augustine Fla.; grandchildren Kriste Tolbert, Eric Thomas, Sherri Shumaker, Todd Freeman, Bobbi Riley, Scott Cart, Tiffany Miller and Dan Bennett; 25 great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren; sister Ina Harnsworth of California; and brother Cecil Joy of Lubeck, W.Va. Funeral service was Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Allen Funeral Home, Hurricane, W.Va., with Rev. Jerry Losh officiating. Burial followed in Forrest Memorial Park, Milton, W.Va.  He was born March 1, 1929, in Wirt County, W.Va., the son of the late Floyd E. and Cynthia Bishop Joy.
 He was a graduate of Wirt County High School, U.S. Army Korean War veteran, Baptist by faith and retired boilermaker of Local Union 667.
 He is survived by two sons, Camden F. Joy of Lubeck and Arthur C. Joy Jr. of Rockport; one granddaughter, Nicole Joy of West Union, W.Va.; several stepgrandchildren; three sisters, Myrtle Younglove of Tampa, Fla., Rosella Nutter of Culloden, W.Va., and Ina Harmsworth of Fair Field, Calif.; one brother, Cecil Joy of New England, W.Va.; one stepdaughter, two stepsons; several nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Ruth Ann Walker.
 He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Imogene Longwell Joy; four brothers; and two sisters.
 Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg. Burial will follow at Lubeck Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 today at the funeral home.

OBITUARY:
Cecil Warren Joy, 90 of Washington, WV passed away August 15, 2021 at Belpre Landing. He was born June 23, 1931, a son of the late Floyd Joy and Cynthia Bishop in Elizabeth, West Virginia. Cecil was a Korean War Veteran. He was a Union Boilermaker. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, and farming. He loved spending time with his family and camping at Lake Murray, South Carolina. Those left behind to cherish his memory include his sons, Warren (Marion) Joy of Lubeck, WV, Gary (Judith) Joy of Lubeck, WV, Michael (Melinda) Joy of Lubeck, WV, Steven (Eva) Joy of Parkersburg,WV; daughter, Sharon (Wayne) Fleak of Washington, WV; grandchildren, Nathan, Jeremy, Trevor, Travis, Colin, Stephanie, Matt, Brandon, Jaron, Cari, Stacy, Lisa; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; 5 brothers; 5 sisters. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday August 18, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Seebaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday August 17, 2021 at the funeral home. An online guestbook for condolences is available at www.sunsetparkersburg.com.
