OBITUARY:
ROCHESTER, NY – Lowell Francis Hamilton, 41, of 207 West Squire Drive, died suddenly Sunday at his home.
 He was born in Sanford, Maine, June 10, 1939, son of Wilfred A. and Ellen Swinerton Hamilton, and was graduated from Sanford High School in 1957 and Nasson College, Springvale, Maine in 1964. He received a master's degree in psychology from the University of New Hampshire, Durham in 1968.
 Hamilton was financial affairs administrator at Rochester Institute of Technology. He previously taught at the University of Rochester and Hobart College, Geneva.
 He was a licensed practical nurse and had been a licensed pilot and instructor since his high school days. Hamilton owned a small airport in Rochester. He was a member of the Pleasant Street Free Baptist Church, Springvale.
 Survivors are a son, Laurence J. Hamilton, and a daughter Susan Rae Hamilton, both of Waterloo; and his parents of Springvale.
 Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 61 Main Street, Springvale. The Rev. Paul F. Keirstead, pastor of the Pleasant Street Free Baptist Church will officiate. Spring interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Springvale.
 Calling hours will be held today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

 Waterloo - Shirley C. Hamilton Robinson, 70, of 91 Center St., died Sunday (Sept. 14, 2008) in her home surrounded by her loving family.
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday (Sept. 16) at the Waterloo United Methodist Church, 21 E. William St., Waterloo, NY.  The funeral service will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday (Sept. 17) at the church. The Rev. Thomas Easttey, pastor of the church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Springbrook Cemetery in Seneca Falls.

 Shirley was born June 5, 1938, in Elizabeth, WV, the daughter of Dale R. and Mildred C. Joy Fluharty.  She was a 1956 graduate of Beaver Falls High School in Beaver Falls, PA.  She then attended one year at Malone Bible College in Canton, OH and one year at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Mass. She then taught grades 1 through 4 in a two room school house in Creston, WV.  She then moved and taught in Biddeford, Maine. While teaching in Biddeford, she completed courses and other education requirements to graduate in 1965 from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Mass., with a BS degree in Education.  In 1975 she graduated from Elmira College with a MS degree in Education.  She retired in 1995 after thirty-two years of teaching in the Waterloo School District in the LaFayette Building and SkoiYase Building.
 Always wanting to be a nurse, she graduated in 1996 from the Marion S. Whelan School of Nursing as an LPN and was a 1997 graduate from FLCC in Canadaigua with her RN degree. She then returned to teach one year at St. Mary's Catholic School in Waterloo.
 She was a member of the NYS Retired Teachers Association, Central Western Zone of the NYS Retired Teachers Association, and the Seneca County Retired Teachers Association. She was a former member of the Waterloo Education Association. She attended the Waterloo United Methodist Church, participating in the Monday Morning Women's Prayer Group; and recently chaired the arts and crafts committee for the VBS program in August. She was a member of the Warner VanRiper Post 435, American Legion Auxiliary and the Taylor Brown Auxiliary at Huntington Living Center. She was a member of the Antiques Club of the Finger Lakes and the Waterloo Research Club. She volunteered at the National Memorial Day Museum in Waterloo.  Her love for traveling took her on a missionary trip to Botswana, Africa in 2005.
 She is survived by her husband, James A. Robinson; one daughter, Susan R. Hamilton Jones; of Penn Yan; one son, Laurence J. (Sheryl) Hamilton, of Penfield; several step-children; five grandchildren; Megan (Adam) Rey, Matthew S. Jones, Chelsea Hamilton, Lindsey Hamilton, and Ethan Hamilton; two great-grandchildren, Abigail Decker and Gabriel Rey; one sister, Mary (George) Aubrey, of Sierra Vista, AZ; two brothers, Larry (Chris) Fluharty, of Sierra Vista, AZ and Gary (Bobbie) Fluharty, of Queen Creek, AZ; one sister-in-law, Lillian Fluharty, of Beaver, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
 She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald Fluharty and Leonard Fluharty.

OBITUARY:
 WATERLOO – James A. Robinson, Sr., 77, of Waterloo, died Thursday (January 2, 2020) at Seneca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Waterloo,N.Y.
 In keeping with Jim's wishes there will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be at a later time.
 Jim was born July 5, 1942, in Langdon, Mo., the son of Robert L., Sr., and Etta L. Easley Robinson. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Jim was employed with L. S. Lee and Sons, until leaving to work for David Prosser. Later, he was employed with Goulds Pumps for many years, until he retired. Those who knew Jim knew of his love and appreciation for classic cars.
 He is survived by sons James (Laura) A. Robinson, Jr., of St. Louis, Mo., Mark (Michelle Dean) A. Robinson of W. Columbia, S.C., and Kyle (Teresa) A. Robinson of Waterloo, N.Y.; grandchildren Morgan, Aleandra, Jaden, Jillian, Megan (Adam) Rey, and Matthew (Jillian) Jones; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Barbara) Robinson of Waterloo, N.Y.; sisters Marjorie (Walter) Hauf of Waterloo, N.Y., Joyce Henry of Rochester, N.Y., Patsy Hauf of Lyons, N.Y., and Betty (Tony) DeSarro of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; many nieces and nephews.

OBITUARY:
 SIERRA VISTA -- Master Sergeant Larry Gene Fluharty (USAF-Ret), 72, passed away at 10:10 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson.
 He was born Aug. 26, 1944, in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, to the late Dale and Mildred Joy Fluharty.
 He entered the United States Air Force in 1962, then served 20 years faithfully until his retirement in 1982.
 He is preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Fluharty; and his sister, Shirley Robinson.
 Survivors include his wife, Christina A. Fluharty of Sierra Vista, Arizona; children, Shannell M. (Paul) Fatula of Montgomery Village, Maryland, and Lisa A. (Mike) Mayette of Sierra Vista; sister, Mary Fluharty (George) Aubrey of Sierra Vista; brother, Gary Fluharty (Roberta Miller Fluharty) of Mesa, Arizona; sister-in-law, Lillian Weldon Fluharty of Beaver, Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren, Ricky F. Geoffrion and Robert M. Geoffrion of Sierra Vista.
 Services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Old Post Cemetery (Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista). Interment to follow at Fort Huachuca Cemetery with full military honors.

OBITUARY:
Unidentified Newspaper Obituary - 1935
 George Joy, aged 79, died at his home on Hughes River, Wednesday, October 2nd, at 11:00 o'clock.  While his death is thought to have been caused by heart trouble, he has been in poor health for several weeks from dropsy.
 Mr. Joy was a citizen who was highly respected by those who knew him.
 He is survived by severall sons, daughters, and other relatives.  Floyd Joy of Route 2, Elizabeth is a son.
 The funeral was held in the home Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. J. M. Nutter officiating.  Interment in the Perrin Cemetery.  W. M. Pomroy, funeral director in charge.

Funeral Set Friday for Mrs. Joy, 99
 Funeral services for Mrs. Ollia Joy, 99, Marietta, who died Tuesday evening, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Spencer funeral home in Belpre.
 The Rev. Walter Frost and the Rev. Floy Caplinger will officiate.  Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg.
 Mrs. Joy, who died at the home of Floyd Hall, formerly lived in Belpre with a son, Walter Joy.  She has a total of 359 descendants.
 Born July 18, 1862, in Grafton, she was a daughter of James and Ellen Shahan.  Her husband, George Joy, died in 1935.
 Mrs. Joy spent most of her life in Wirt and Wood counties, and was a member of the Methodist Church at Flint Run, Wirt county.
 Surviving her are three sons, Frank Joy, Davisville; Floyd Joy, Elizabeth, and Walter Joy, Belpre; five daughters, Mrs. Della Deem, and Mrs. Goldie Null, Davisville, Mrs. Nora Deem,  Mrs. Sylvia Twyman and Mrs. Ethel Deem, Parkersburg.
 Also surviving are 66 grandchildren, 200 great-grandchildren and 85 great-great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Joy was preceded in death by three sons.
 Friends may call at the Spencer funeral home until time of the services.

OBITUARY:
Death Roll:
 W. H. Bishop, aged 76, a veteran of the Civil War died very suddenly at his home here on Saturday morning after an illness of two or three hours.
 He was apparently in his usual good health Friday having walked up town.  He took sick Saturday morning about three o'clock and a physician was called but he died about three hours later.
 He is survived by his wife and seven children.  Sons: William A., Truman C.  Daughters: Mrs. Sadie Kidder, Mrs Mary L. Tams, Mrs Clara A. Millie, Alice Enoch and Syntha Joy.  One brohter Perry and two sisters, Nancy Ann Littleton and Mrs. Lula Humphrey.
 Funeral was held from the home on Tuesday April 22, with Rev. F. O. Reebie officiating.
 Interment in the K. of P. cemetry.  Elizabeth Furniture and Undertaking Co. in charge.

OBITUARY:
Mrs. Rosella Hays Bishop
 Mrs. Rosella Hays Bishop was born December 18, 1849, Died March 8, 1926 Aged 77 years 2 months and 18 days.
 She was united in marriage to William H. Bishop in the year of 1868, who having preceeded her neary 2 years ago.
 To this union was born 8 children, 7 of whom are now living.  Namely:  Mrs. Sada Kidder, Elizabethl Mrs. May Tams, Chester, W. Va.; Mrs Clara Bence, East Liverpool, Ohio; Mrs. Cynthia Joy, Elizabeth, R. 2; Mrs. Mammie Enoch, Oklahoma; and William and truman, both of East Liverpool, Ohio.  Also 36 grand children, and 36 great grand children survive her.
 Mrs. Bishop has always live a consistent, useful christian life that she had chosen that good part which could not be taken away from her.
 Besided the bereaved family, a host of friends are left to mourn their loss.
 The funeral services were held Mar. 10, 1926, by Rev. A. F. Monroe.  Undertaker, C. H. Roberts, in charge.

Harry W. Wells
 Harry W. Wells, 84, of Parkview Nursing Home, Parkersburg, died Tuesday at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
 Wells was a homebuilder, had worked for Bennett & Dobbins for several years, and was a member of Kanawha Baptist Church.
 He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Jess D. and Minnie Gilpin Wells.
 He is survived by two sons, Harry Avery Wells of Parkersburg and Thurman [sic] Wells of Sandyville; two daughters, Jean McVey of Palestine and Pauline Murphy of Vienna; a stepson, Howard Hamerick Sr. of Little Hocking; two sisters, Alice W. Allen of Washington and Marie W. Galligher of Fairfax, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren.
 He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Mae Joy Wells, in 1898; two sons; a brother and a stepgreat-grandson.
 The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, at Franklin Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Charlene Spaur officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen North Cemetery.
 Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 7-9 p.m. today.
