OBITUARY:
 ROCKPORT - Rena M. Richey, 94, of Rockport, passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at her home.
Rena was born in Newtonville, Ind., on April 13, 1912, to the late Virgil and Belle (Carey) Painter.
 Rena was a homemaker. She was a member of American Legion Post 254 Ladies Auxiliary and VFW 696 Ladies Auxiliary of Owensboro, Garnet Chapter of Eastern Stars and First United Methodist Church.
 Rena was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Richey in 1976; two sons, G.V. and Bob Richey and three grandchildren.
 Rena is survived by three daughters, Barbara Stonebraker and husband, Bob, of Shelbyville, Tenn., Margaret Franklin and husband, Sonny, of Carthage, Tenn., Bernardine Renehan and husband, Jerry, of Chesteron, Ind.; six sons, Frank Richey, of Grandview, Ind., Sam Richey and wife, Valerie, of Rockport, Ind., Bill Richey and wife, Karen, of Brookston, Ind., Wayne Richey of Grandview, Ind., Ray Richey and wife, Teresa, of Hatfield, Ind., and Kenny Richey, of Spring Mills, Fla.; her companion, Lawrence Carpenter; 32 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren and a niece.
 Services are 2:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at the Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Ind., with Rev. John Monroe officiating. Burial in Grandview Cemetery in Grandview, Ind. Eastern Stars will have a memorial service at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
 Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, and 8 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
 Memorial contributions may be made to the Spencer county Hospice.

MARY CATHERINE (HAGAN) PAINTER
  Rockport, IN – Mary Catherine (Hagan) Painter, 96, of Rockport, Indiana passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Miller's Merry Manor in Rockport, Indiana.
  Mary was born in Newtonville, Indiana on February 5, 1915 to the late Henry and Rillis (Kennedy) Hagan.
  She married Joe Painter on February 5, 1941. They were married for 50 years when he passed away on February 14, 1991. Mary was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church and attended the Rockport First United Methodist Church.
  She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Painter; Brother, Maurice Ray Hagan; Sisters, Valeda Connor, Deloris Trinkle, Bobbie Jo Smith.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Bettye West and her husband Jim; Grandson, Tracy West and his wife Mindy; Great-grandson, Luke West all of Richland, IN; Brother, Keith Hagan and his wife Joyce of Cannelton, IN; Many nieces and nephews.
  Services are 11 A.M. Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Indiana with Rev. Warren Kirk and Rev. Richard Miller officiating. Burial is in Grandview Cemetery in Grandview, Indiana.
Visitation is from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. Monday, February 21, 2011 and from 8 A.M. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
