  Rockport, IN - Alice Niles, 93, of Rockport, Indiana passed away on Monday, December 28, 2009 at Miller's Merry Manor in Rockport, Indiana.
  Alice was born on February 22, 1916 in Grandview, Indiana to the late Clifford and Anna (Byrne) Dawson.
She was a home maker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
  She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Painter; Husband, Robert Niles; Brother, Hilbert Dawson; Sister, Mary Bea Shrode.
  Alice is survived by her niece, Rachel Waddle of Hartselle, AL; Nephew, Paul Shrode M.D. of El Paso, TX; Niece, Karen Shrode of Indianapolis, IN; Four step- grandchildren; Many extended family
members.
 Services are 2 P.M. Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Indiana
with Rev. Larry VanCamp officiating. Burial is in Grandview Cemetery in Grandview, Indiana.
  Visitation is from 10 A.M. until 2 P.M. Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the funeral home.

 Boonville, Ind. Paul Peters Jr., 82, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013, at his residence. He was preceded in death by wife, Nancy Lee Hart (1992); granddaughter, Angela Jean Nix; sons-inlaw, Brad Barker and Don Freeman; and brother-in-law, Carl Griesbacher.
 Survived by sisters, Carol Griesbacher and Gayla (Jack) Dockery; daughter, Paula (Gary) Strahle, sons, David (Gayle) Peters and Steven (Brenda) Peters; daughter, Joyce (Randy) Duncan; son, Mathew Peters; grandchildren, Alisha Reed, Jenny Skelton, Justin Peters, Shannon Bray, Linda Freeman, Jerid Peters, Zachary Barker, Dustin Peters, Jennifer Freeman and Donnie Freeman; caregiver, Annette Miley, 17 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
P  aul was a self employed painting contractor, owning Paul Peters & Sons Painting for many years. He enjoyed traveling, visited all 50 states and several foreign countries. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed gardening.
 Memorial service will be 7 p.m. October 15, 2013, at Bradley's Colonial Chapel in Boonville. A gathering of friends from 3 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Bread of Life Ministries. Condolences to the family can be sent to www.bradleyscc.com

Carl Arthur Griesbacher
 
Carl Griesbacher, age 74, of Evansville, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2004, at his residence, of prostate cancer. Carl was a brick mason and a member of the local Brick Layers Union.  He was a 1949 graduate of Central High School. Carl was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.
 
Carl was a Korean War Navy veteran.  He was also a volunteer fireman for the German Township Fire Department, where he was a former Fire Chief.  He was a member of the American Legion, Twin Towers and Darmstadt Retirees.  He loved fishing and boating, especially spending his summers at Barkley Lake.
 
Carl is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol (Peters) Griesbacher of Evansville; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Doug Weber of St. Phillips, Ind., Tonna and Patrick Seibert of St. Wendel, Ind., Tina and Bob Sanders of Evansville, and Carla and John Breeden of Evansville; sister and her husband, Carol and LeRoy Williams of Newburgh; brother and his wife, Bill and Paula Griesbacher of Newburgh; grandchildren, Becky and David Weber, Katie and Jacob Seibert, Sara and Laura Sanders and Joshua Breeden; brother-in-law, Paul Peters; sister-in-law and her husband, Gayla and Jack Dockery; and nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., continuing at 10 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church, 5301 New Harmony Rd., Rev. Philip J. Kreilein and Rev. Ray Brenner officiating.
 
Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 2004, at Browning Funeral Home, where there will be a memorial service at 7 p.m.

Carol J. (Peters) Griesbacher Evansville, Ind. Carol Jeanne (Peters) Griesbacher died peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on June 23, 2015 in Evansville, IN. She was 82. She was born on January 23, 1933 in Evansville to her parents, Bud and Bea Peters (former owners of Hybrid Inn). She graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1951. She met Carl Griesbacher at a skating rink and they married in 1955. The two were married almost 50 years until Carl's passing in 2004. The Griesbachers lived in Evansville where Carl worked as a bricklayer. Carol stayed at home raising their four daughters and becoming involved in Girl Scouts and serving as Resurrection's Girl Scout Troop Leader. She later worked in purchasing at Shane Uniform and Anchor Industries. She retired from Anchor Industries in 1995 and dedicated her remaining time to spending time with friends and family, as well as being a member of the Crescent City Civitan Club. Carol was a loving member of Resurrection Church and stayed involved within the church. She enjoyed the Resurrection Quilters, and was a member of Resurrection Retirees and several card clubs. Carol was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved to get the family together to play cards, dominos, and board games. Her days were full of laughter and love. Carl and Carol owned a place on Barkley Lake for years where many cherished memories were made with her children and grandchildren. Carol is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Doug Weber of Mt. Vernon, IN, Tonna and Pat Seibert of St.Wendel, IN, Tina and Bob Sanders of Evansville, IN, and Carla and John Breeden of Evansville, IN; her sister and brothers-in-law, Gayla and Jack Dockery of Evansville, IN, Bill and Paula Griesbacher of Newburgh, IN, Leroy Williams of Newburgh, IN; ten grandchildren including spouses, Katie and Adam Vanhooser of Nolensville, TN, Becky Weber of San Francisco, CA, Sara Sanders of Evansville, IN, Jacob and Whitney Seibert of Tampa, FL, Laura Sanders of Nashville, TN, David Weber of Evansville, IN, Joshua Breeden and fiancé Emily Bruning of Evansville, IN; two great-grandchildren, Ansley and Lainey Vanhooser; and many dear nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl, her two sons, Patrick and Terry Griesbacher, her brother, Paul Peters, and sisters-in-law, Carol Williams and Nancy Peters. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the St. Mary's staff for the outstanding care they provided.  Gayla Dockery, 82, passed away December 6, 2017, at Good Samaritan Home, in Evansville. Gayla was born the daughter of Paul and Beatrice Peters on September 30, 1935, in Evansville.
  Gayla was a proud graduate of Mater Dei High School. She enjoyed a wide range of hobbies over the years and also enjoyed spending time with her family.
  Gayla is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward "Jack" Dockery; daughters, Lisa (Bob) Weakley and Mona (Dan) Winiger; grandchildren, Erin (Taylor) Nellis, Lori Golini, Heather and Haley Winiger; great-grandchildren, Jude and Elliott Nellis; and many family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lynn and Judy, the staff at Heritage Hospice, and Good Samaritan Home.
  Gayla was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debbie Dockery; siblings, Carol Griesbacher and Paul Peters.
  Memorial Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, from 4 to 6:30 p.m., with a short service to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana in Gayla's memory.
