Delmar VONDERHEIDE

OBITUARY:
Delmar L. Vonderheide, age 82, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Sunday (November 20, 2011) in St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.
 
He was born in Jasper on October 24, 1929 to Albert and Loretta (Fuhs) Vonderheide.
 
He had two marriages; 1st marriage to Louanna Lehmkuhler on May 31, 1952, she preceded him in death on July 6, 1987. 2nd marriage to Karen Piotrowski October 8, 1989.
 
Delmar was a Navy Veteran serving in Asia Pacific Theatre (Korean War) . He retired from Furst - McNess where he was a sales representative and previously had worked for Holland Dairies.
 
He is a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church –American Legion Post Club in Holland and V.F.W. Post in Jasper.
 
Del enjoyed the outdoors.

Funeral services for Delmar L. Vonderheide will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (November 23, 2011) in Precious Blood Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper will conduct military rites.
 
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday (November 22, 2011) at the Becher – Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
Memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.

OBITUARY:
 Karen L. Hilgeman, 66, of Huntingburg, passed away at 8 p.m., on Monday, January 29, 2018, at her home in Huntingburg.
 She was born June 23, 1951, in Schuylkill Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania to Carl and Angella Margaret “Peggy” (McLean) Hilgeman.
  Karen had been a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church
 She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Huntingburg in the kitchen and later, at Kmart in Jasper.
  She was a skilled knitter; enjoyed music and dancing in her younger years, and adored her cousins’ children and loved spending time with them.
  She was preceded in death by her parents.
 She is survived by her Uncle and Aunt, Harold and Janice Hilgeman of Jasper; caregivers, Toni and Stan Sollman and John and Becky Fenneman of Huntingburg; cousins and their families; and many friends.
 Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service for Karen Hilgeman on Saturday, February 10 at 1 p.m. EST at Mayo Cemetery in Duff (near Huntingburg).  Rev. Ryan Hilderbrand will officiate at the service.  There will be no public visitation.
