Jack Fredrick FLETCHER

OBITUARY:
 Jack F. Fletcher 85 of Greensburg, IN, passed away Friday August 10, 2012, at his home. Jack was born May 26, 1927, in Evansville, IN, the son of John W. and Talvia Lavana (Painter) Fletcher. He was a 1945 graduate of Bosse High School in Evansville; after high school he joined the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. He also was a graduate of the Indiana School of Mortuary Science in Indianapolis. He was the Owner/Operator of the NAPA store , which opened in 1964, until 1976. He was a licensed Funeral Director for over 60 years. He was a member of Clarksburg Christian Church, Masonic Lodge #36 Greensburg, and Scottish Rite Indianapolis Valley. He married his first wife Betty Ruscher on August 28, 1948, in Lawrenceburg, IN, and she preceded him in death May 5, 1986. He then married Helen Buell on January 23, 1988, and she survives at the home.
  Other survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. David (Jayne Ann) Schlemmer; two sons, John F. (Beth Ann) Fletcher of Noblesville, IN, and James A. (Nancy) Fletcher of Greensburg, IN; one stepdaughter, Leslie Emerson; two stepsons, Greg and Patrick Newman; five grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, J. Lawrence Fletcher.
  A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Community Church of Greensburg, with the Reverend Jerran Jackson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.gilliland-howe.com.
