OBITUARY:

  Alan B. Gardner, 84, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at his residence.
 He was born February 3, 1930 to Bruce and Eulah (Knowles) Gardner.
 He retired from Mead Johnson/Bristol Meyers after 39 1/2 years of service as a tractor trailer driver. After his retirement he was a farmer and school bus driver. He graduated from Bosse High School in 1949. Alan served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Christian Churches in the areas he lived and served as a bible teacher, Deacon and Elder also he was a member of First Christian Church of Owensville. Alan was a Kentucky Colonel and an avid University of Kentucky Wildcat fan.
 Surviving are his wife, Yvonne (McDonald) of 59 years; daughters; Anne G Spainhoward and Janelle K. Gardner; grandchildren, Michael (Emily) Gardner; Brittany K. (Marty) Marginet and Jackson Gardner Strong; great-grandchildren, Preston Lockwood, Ethan Gardner, Madison Marginet, Benjamin Strong and twins, McKinlee and Mason Marginet; sister, Mary Somers; nephew, Robert B. Gardner; nieces, Lois J. McEntarfer, Linda K. Jones and Nancy E. Knight.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Aaron Marshall Stewart and a brother, Robert K. Gardner.
 Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 14, 2015 at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Bart Newton officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the retired military veterans.
 Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
 Memorial contributions may be made in Alan's memory to the Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family would like to also express their grateful appreciation to Amanda Deakins and the staff of Southern Care Hospice for their compassionate care to both Alan and Yvonne.

Chester L. Bratton
 OWENSVILLE--Chester L. Bratton, 76, of rural Owensville, died Monday, May 19, 2003 at the Owensville Convalescent Center.
 He was born November 22, 1926 in Wabash County, Ill.  He was a farmer and received the Master Farmer Award in 2000.  He was a member of the Old Union Christian Church.  He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and in the Philippines.
 Surviving are his wife, Ruth (Knowles) Bratton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie and Tim Mahone of Evansville and Lynne and Mike Hidbrader of Burlington, Ky.; a son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Becky Bratton of Cynthiana; a stepdaughter and her husband, Jan and Ronnie Denning of Owensville; a stepson, Tim Benson of Owensville;  two sisters, Mary Frances Hobbs of Anderson and Phyllis Webb of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three brothers, Paul Arnold of LaGrange, Ky, Henry of Mount Carmel, Ill., and Kenneth of Poseyville; eight grandchildren, Denny and Doug Eickhoff, Nicki and Michael Malone, Justin and Jason Bratton, Chase and Lauren Hidbrader; four stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-granddaughters.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ursa (Arnold) Bratton; a brother, Milton; a grandson, Jeremy Bratton in 1991; and his first wife, Phyllis Emerson Bratton in 1994.
 Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with burial in the Mount Moriah Cemetery.  Bart Newton will officiate.
 Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
 Memorial contributions may be made to the Deaconess Ohio Valley Hospice.


Marilyn D. McCORMICK

OBITUARY:
Marilyn Benson

Owensville, Indiana

Marilyn Benson, 62, of Owensville, Indiana went to be with the Lord February 2, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born June 19, 1955 in Cisne, IL to the late Roy and Marlene (Hederick) McCormick. Marilyn was a loving wife, amazing mother, and nana. She had a long courageous battle with cancer, and never wavered.
 
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Marlene and her brother Patrick McCormick.
 
She survived by her husband Tim Benson; son Jeremy Owen; daughter Amber (Bryan) Smith; Step daughters Jaimie (Cory) Brady and Jennifer (Steve) Klusmeier; sisters Sandy (Roger) Myers, Rhonda (Les) Robling, and Carolyn (Glenn) Craig; and brother Mike McCormick.
 
The family would like to send a special thank you to all that have helped along the journey.
 
Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 7, 2018 at Holders Funeral Home, 319 S. Main St. Owensville, IN at 1 p.m with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m until service. Burial will be held at Saulmon Cemetery.
