OBITUARY:
 Evelyn Emogene Knowles, 94, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at Angel River Healthcare. She was born July 28, 1916, in Gibson County, Ind.
 She was a member of Royal Neighbors and worked at Sears Roebuck & Co. where she retired January 2, 1976.
 Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, George F. Knowles, who passed away January 15, 1971.
 She is survived by her son, Gary and his wife Ann; grandchildren, Jennifer Claborn and husband, Bobby, Bryan Knowles and wife, Kim, and Sara Cole and husband, James; six great-grandchildren; 7 stepgreat-grandchildren; five step great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
 Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Chaplain Randall Bechtel, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park.
 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 323 Metro Avenue, Evansville, IN 47715.

Fred E. Knowles
Fred E. Knowles, 86, of Evansville, died November 11, 2003, at Deaconess Hospital.
 Fred was a World War II Army veteran.  He retired from General Foods, where he had worked for 33 years.  He was a member of St. Paul's U.C.C. in German Township.  He was also a member of the VFW post 1114.  He enjoyed gardening.
 Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Ruth; his brother, Francis Knowles; and his brother, Cavett Knowles.
 Fred is survived by son, Ronald Knowles and his wife, Bonnie of Newburgh, Ind.; son, Donald Knowles of Evansville, Ind.; brother, Kenneth Knowles of Owensville, Ind.; sister, Esther Jane Dickenson of Owensville, Ind.; grandchildren, Shawn Knowles of Mount Vernon, Ind., Chris Vinson of Evansville, Ind., Angie Proudfoot, and Lori Beckham of Newburgh, Ind.; 10 great-grandchildren; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
 Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2003, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Daniel Sather.  Burial will be at St. Paul's U.C.C. Church Cemetery-German Twp. Vanderbugh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites at the cemetery.
 Friends may call 2 to 8 p.m. today, November 13, 2003, and 11 a.m. to service time Friday, November 14, 2003, at Alexander West Chapel.

 Kenneth R. Knowles, 92, of Owensville, IN went to be with the Lord September 4, 2020. He was born September 17, 1927 in Gibson County to the late Harvey Knowles and Dale Gardner Knowles. Kenneth attended and graduated from Owensville High School in 1945. He enlisted in the Air Force to serve his Country during WWII. Kenny married Sharon (Zehner) Knowles in 1954. They were married 61 years and blessed with three children. He worked production for Igleharts (General Foods) for 40 years. Kenny enjoyed raising Angus cattle for over 50 years. He was a member of Old Union Christian Church, VFW Post 2714, and Owensville American Legion.
 Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Dale Gardner Knowles; wife Sharon Knowles; brothers Hugh Gardner, Cavett Knowles, Francis Knowles, and Frederick Knowles; sisters Eulah Knowles Gardner and Esther Jane Knowles Dickenson; and son-in-law Kent Newcome.
 He is survived by his children Becky Newcome, Greg (Rosemary) Knowles, and Kevin (Sherry) Knowles; grandchildren Melissa (Toby) Wolfe, Paige (Ken Renshaw) Knowles, Eli Knowles, and Brody Knowles; great granddaughter Haley Wolfe; special niece who was like a sister Ruth Bratton; and several nieces and nephews.
Holder’s Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Knowles. Visitation will be held at Owensville Cemetery Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 10a-11a. Graveside services will be 11a with Military Rites with Bart Newton officiating.
 Memorial contributions can be made to Old Union Christian Church.
 The family would like to extend a special thank you to North River Health Campus and Heart to Heart Hospice for the compassionate care given to Dad.

Sharon B. Knowles
Owensville, IN
 Sharon B. (Zehner) Knowles, 80, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was born in Gibson County on Jan. 31, 1935 daughter of George and Melissa (Lucas) Zehner.
 She was a graduate of Owensville High School class of 1953 and Lockyear Business College. She had been employed in the office of the McCurdy Hotel, Farmers Bank and Trust in Wadesville and Farm Bureau Insurance in Poseyville. Sharon was a member of Old Union Christian Church.
Sharon very much enjoyed being with family and friends. She enjoyed farming with Kenny, reading and working cross word puzzles.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Kenneth Knowles; children, Becky (Kent) Newcome, Greg (Rosemary) and Kevin (Sherry) Knowles; 4 grandchildren, Melissa Newcome, Paige Knowles, Eli and Brody Knowles; brothers, Darwin and Gerald (Billie) Zehner.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Lloyd Zehner and sister-in-law Judy Zehner.
 Services will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Holders Funeral Home with Baret Fawbush and Bart Newton officiating. Burial will be in the Owensville Cemetery.
 Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
